Autoclaves

An autoclave is a device which is used to sterilise equipment and supplies by exposing them to high pressure saturated steam at 121 °C. Depending on the size of the equipment and supplies which you need to sterilise, this process can take between 15 and 20 minutes.

In order for the autoclave to sufficiently sterilise laboratory equipment, it must contain dry saturated steam. To create this steam, the air within the load and chamber of the autoclave must be removed. There are several methods through which this air can be removed and the steam generated and the best option for your application can be discussed with our sales team.

At Labmode we offer a variety of autoclaves from Priorclave with options between 40 and 700 litres, and a range of options and accessories which are suitable for use in a wide range of applications.
